Amazing diner! Food was great especially the truffle fries. Truly amazing quality! Service was wonderful, I came in there damp and sat down on one of their chairs and it left a mark. I told the manager and apologized and he said no worries and that it will dry. Great staff! Wonderful decorations and it really looks very nice inside! Very beautiful.

Cheryl and I had a few hours before Counting Crows & Santana concert at Pine Knob Theatre. Fortunately, we stumbled on The Fed in beautiful downtown Village of Clarkston. The restaurant is a chic restored bank building. Our first clue it would be fabulous was the herb boxes out front of the restaurant. Cheryl ordered the Scallops over wild mushroom risotto and I ordered gnocchi saltado. As usual, we shared our bites and added a wonderful bottle of Predator Cabernet Sauvignon ( a new favorite ). Our waitress was a lovely woman with loads of experience and recommendations. I'm certain we will return for future concerts and definitely will return to The Fed

My husband and I dined here for my birthday and really enjoyed the experience. The ambiance was really nice. It was relaxing, we could carry on a conversation and the decor was lovely. I had chicken limon and my husband had a pasta dish. Both were prepared perfectly and we would get them again. Drinks are a little overpriced but it's a choice. Our server Roberto was fabulous. Top notch service without being intrusive. I wish every restaurant I ate in had a Roberto. After dinner, he asked if we would like a tour of the restaurant since it was our first time. He was a great tour guide telling us the history of the building and showing off some of the pretty cool touches in the decor. The building used to be a federal bank and the vaults are used as dining areas. The bar downstairs has an interesting story as well. We are looking forward to going back for brunch this summer. The brief tour topped off a lovely evening. If you have a chance, definitely try out this little gem.

Quadruple date night in the speakeasy room. First time at The Fed for our entire group. It was a memorable evening with good company and good drinks but the food was ehh. Everything was good but wasn't blow your mind away good. I guess I had my expectations set too high maybe. I would definitely go back but it's not exactly close to Troy where we all live. So honestly not sure if/when I'd be back, but only because of the distance. Otherwise, definitely worth a try at least once.
